Business Development Manager

espell delivers professional translation and localization services in all European languages and 50+ languages worldwide. espell built a great reputation internationally as an expert in translation technology and related services. espell is seeking a business development associate to join our team.


  • develop new business opportunities – from prospecting and quoting to closing sales and beyond – in specified areas of translation and localization services
  • serve as the first level of support to existing clients within the DACH region
  • responsible for growing new business from existing clients
  • gather inputs from all stakeholders within espell to be able to offer customized localization solutions to clients
  • negotiate rates and deadlines with prospective and current clients
  • liaise with the production team to ensure that all jobs are handled appropriately and with keen attention to detail
  • follow up with clients to ensure their satisfaction with delivery, quality and customer service



  • university degree in a relevant area (business, translation, languages)
  • demonstrated experience of successfully managing customer relationships
  • excellent computer literacy
  • ability to research, size and prioritize opportunities
  • background in translation and localization
  • understanding of translation quality processes, tools and solutions is a plus
  • fluency in English and German is an essential requirement
  • outstanding communication and negotiation skills
